The Deva Fortress Cable Car – Rates and Schedule

The cable car ride up to Cetatea Deva, is an experience that every visitor should enjoy Quotes Deva. The cable car is the only inclined elevator in Romania, and when it comes to the length of the route—278 meters—and the elevation difference—158 meters—it ranks first in Europe. The system provides mechanical access from the departure station, located at an altitude of 180.0 meters, to the intermediate platform of Deva Fortress at 342.65 meters, covering an elevation difference of approximately 160.0 meters. The cable car has a capacity of 30 people.

Program și tarife la telecabina de la Cetatea Deva

Turiștii care ajung în municipiul Deva și doresc să facă o plimbare cu Telecabina ce face accesul în Deva Citadel trebuie să știe că ascensorul funcționează în fiecare zi cu următorul program:

• între orele 09:00 și 20:00 în programul de vară (ultima urcare la 19:15, ultima coborâre la 19:45)
• și între orele 09:00 și 17:00 în programul de iarnă.

The inclined elevator accommodates 30 passengers, and at the departure station at the base of the hill, visitors can purchase their tickets using an e-ticketing system.

Prețul unul bilet, dus-întors, este de 30 de lei, pentru adulți, și 15 lei, pentru copii până la 14 ani și pensionari. Persoanele cu dizabilități au acces gratuit.

Transportul cu microbuz electric până la Poarta 1 în perioada în care nu a funcționat telecabina

În perioada în care transportul in Cetatea Deva cu telecabina nu a funcționat, turiștii au putut beneficia de transportul cu microbuze electrice noi și performante (inclusiv aer condiționat) de jos din parcare de la telecabină și până sus la intrarea în cetate, la Poarta 1. O călătorie durează aproximativ 5 minute.

Microbuzele electrice funcționează zilnic între orele 9 si 18, cu plecare din oră în oră dar și în funcție de volumul de turiști. Costul unei călătorii cu microbuzul electric este în acest moment de 3 lei și se poate achita cash sau cu cardul.

The Deva Fortress Cable Car: How the Area at the Foot of the Fortress Was Transformed

Along with the upgrade of the cable car, the area where it operates has also been transformed. The inclined transport system, control and safety systems, and both stations have been modernized, while the waiting area at the base of the hill has been turned into a pedestrian zone.

This is also where the Tourist Information Center is located, where visitors can get details not only about the Deva Fortress and access routes, but also about other tourist sites and attractions in the city of Deva and throughout Hunedoara County. Brochures, catalogs, and other informational materials are available to help discover more about the region’s tourist attractions.

At the same time, in both stations, the technical rooms have been resized to accommodate the new flow of tourists. Each cable car ride operates with an attendant on board.

The restroom facilities have also been modernized, and the ramps for people with neuromotor disabilities have been upgraded to meet current standards and regulations.

The waiting area has also been “refreshed,” featuring benches, trash bins, ornamental trees, and flower beds. Additionally, the statue group honoring gymnasts, located near the departure station of the cable car leading up to Deva Fortress, has been enhanced with architectural lighting.
